DESCRIPTION: Janda Baik Bungalow is a bespoke contemporary residencede signed for Dunia Mantap Sdn.Bhd.,nestled with in the lush rainforest setting of Janda Baik. Inspired by the iconic AT-AT ground vehicle from Star Wars, the bungalow features bold angular forms, elevated structural elements, and a sculptural architectural expression that appears to hover above the natural terrain. The façade is carefully oriented to frame and capture the primary views of Janda Baik's lush rainforest and protected forest reserve, allowing every major living space to enjoy uninterrupted vistas while strengthening the connection between the occupants and the surrounding natural environment.

The design responds sensitively to the steep hillside, minimizing site disturbance while maximizing panoramic views of the forested landscape. A dedicated viewing deck, separated from themain bungalow, provides an exclusive retreat for relaxation and unobstructed appreciation of the surrounding wilderness. Spacious indoor and outdoor living areas are connected through expansive glazing, timberdecks, and open terraces, creating a seamless relationship between architecture and nature. The use of natural materials, passive ventilation, abundant daylight, and elevated construction enhances environmental performance while offering a tranquil sanctuary immersed in the tropical landscape.
